Wholesale purchasing needs repeatability
A professional Dutch wholesale range is not built from one attractive specimen. Buyers need a clearly defined group that can be compared, ordered, received and sold through a repeatable specification.
Define the commercial range
- Ficus form and sale category
- Height and crown-width bands
- Trunk style and acceptable variation
- Root-ball or container format
- Quantity by size band
- Labelling and identification requirements
Compare batches, not isolated photographs
Ask for representative group views plus individual examples at the minimum, middle and maximum of the accepted range. This exposes variation before the order is confirmed.
Check container economics responsibly
Freight per tree matters, but maximum loading density should not undermine crown quality or arrival condition. Model the prepared dimensions, protection allowance and unloading method before confirming quantities.
Reconfirm EU plant-health requirements
Plants entering the EU from a non-EU country generally require a phytosanitary certificate and official checks. Confirm the exact commodity and origin requirements in TRACES and with the responsible Dutch authority before contracting.
