Evidence should answer a buying question
A beautiful photograph is not automatically useful evidence. Each image or video should help the buyer confirm identity, scale, measurable dimensions, condition or preparation.
The minimum photograph set
- Full tree from the front with a scale reference
- Full tree from the opposite side
- Trunk base and root flare
- Trunk and aerial-root details
- Crown from multiple angles
- Root ball or container and its dimensions
- Identification marker visible with the tree
What the video should show
Use one continuous walk-around when possible. Move slowly enough to show the full silhouette, branch structure, trunk, roots and surrounding scale without hiding defects through fast cuts.
Record measurements clearly
Show where the tape begins and ends, state the unit, and record the measurement date. Height, crown spread, trunk girth and root-ball dimensions should follow the same method across candidates.
Protect the chain of identity
Carry the tree or batch reference from first presentation through selection, preparation and loading. If pruning or root preparation changes the appearance, send an updated evidence set before shipment.
