Buyer context

A project required one memorable specimen rather than a batch. The selection needed to hold attention from several directions.

The sourcing challenge

Large size can look impressive in a list but still feel unbalanced in person. The relationship between trunk mass, branching, canopy spread and exposed roots determines presence.

How we approached it

Candidates were reviewed as individual trees. We recorded front, rear and side views, key dimensions and visual notes before narrowing the selection.

Buyer lesson

Ask for multiple views and identify the intended front. For specimen trees, the strongest decision often comes from proportion and character, not the largest measurement.
